Intake and Exhaust Valves for 6CTA 8.3

Fresh valves are essential to proper combustion and airflow. We stock both intake and exhaust valves engineered to OEM standards for the Cummins 6C, 6CT, and 6CTA series.

Intake Valves

These valves are precision-machined to fit seamlessly into both new and existing cylinder heads. Proper sealing ensures optimal airflow and fuel atomization.

Designed for high-pressure diesel combustion
Compatible with all 6CTA head variants

Exhaust Valves

Exhaust valves endure extreme temperature cycles and require robust metallurgy. Our replacement options are manufactured to withstand extended periods of heat stress and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cycles.

Enhanced durability in turbocharged systems
Ideal for high-output and off-road engine builds

Valve Train Components for Cummins 6CTA

A fully functioning valvetrain is crucial for engine breathing, timing, and emissions compliance. Diesel Pro Power offers the following components to support full or partial head overhauls:

Valve Springs

Heavy-duty valve springs ensure proper valve closure and timing precision. These are engineered for both intake and exhaust ports on 6CTA engines.

Reliable performance across RPM ranges
Heat-treated for resistance to fatigue

Valve Rotators

Installed on exhaust valves, rotators promote even wear and help prevent valve seat damage. They're especially important in engines with sustained high-load cycles.

Improves valve longevity
Reduces carbon accumulation

Valve Guides

Proper guidance of valve stems is essential to minimize wobble and oil seepage. These guides are produced to maintain clearance specifications in worn or new heads.

Available in standard dimensions
Easy press-fit installation

Valve Seals (Steam Seals)

These seals help prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber through the valve guides, reducing smoke and oil consumption.

Designed for high-temperature diesel environments
Resistant to breakdown over time

Cylinder Head Bolts & Fastening Components

Reliable torque retention depends on strong, properly sized cylinder head bolts. Diesel Pro Power supplies OEM-grade bolts for Cummins 6C, 6CT, and 6CTA engines.

Cylinder Head Bolts – Long and Short Formats

We carry both 12-bolt and 14-bolt configurations depending on your engine’s head casting and year. Our head bolts are manufactured to handle the torque and clamping force required for heavy-duty use.

Available in standard lengths and diameters
Torque-to-yield grade steel for precision tightening
Compatible with both marine and land-based applications

Heavy Hex Nuts

Used for valve adjustment or rocker assembly clamping, these hex nuts are engineered for high-torque durability.

Zinc-coated for corrosion resistance
Compatible with rocker arm threads on Cummins heads

Gaskets for 6CTA Cylinder Head Assembly

Proper sealing of the head to the engine block, intake manifold, valve cover, and cooling system is critical. Diesel Pro Power offers full gasket solutions for all 6CTA platforms.

Head Gaskets – Standard

Designed for engines producing up to 230 horsepower, these head gaskets are manufactured with multi-layer steel and graphite composites for optimal sealing.

Compatible with cast iron and aluminum heads
Prevents coolant and oil leakage into cylinders

Upper Gasket Sets

Our upper gasket kits include all the essential seals for the head, intake manifold, valve cover, and injector seals.

Available for both standard and EGR-equipped 6CTA engines
Suitable for rebuilds, top-end overhauls, or injector servicing

Intake Connection Gasket

Seals the intake connection between the manifold and the turbo piping. This prevents pressure drops and improves boost retention.

Made from high-temp fiber or silicone rubber
Ensures air-tight intake system integrity

Valve Cover Gasket

A critical seal to prevent oil leaks around the rocker housing. We supply versions that match both early and late-style 6CTA valve covers.

Reinforced rubber and steel designs
Resists hardening or cracking over time

Push Rods and Rocker Arm Hardware

The push rods in the 6CTA engine act as a mechanical link between the camshaft and rocker arms. Over time, they may bend or develop wear patterns. Diesel Pro Power stocks push rods designed to OE geometry and hardness specs.

Built from chromoly or hardened steel
Compatible with original rocker configurations

Additional Components for Top-End Rebuilds

Gear Housing Gasket

Seals the front gear housing and ensures oil retention during operation. Essential when reassembling the front of the engine after head replacement.

Cut to exact factory dimensions
Compatible with both timing and accessory gear covers

Temperature Switch

We also carry temperature switches compatible with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Caterpillar engines. These are essential for temperature monitoring and shutdown control in overheating scenarios.

Activates at 205°F
Standard ½” NPT threading
Reliable sensor for cooling system integration
