Cummins 6BT Engine Parts - Freshwater Pump & Cooling System Catalog

Maintaining optimal engine temperature is critical for the long-term durability and performance of the Cummins 6BT engine. The freshwater cooling system is at the heart of this process, regulating thermal load and ensuring continuous, stable operation whether in marine vessels, construction equipment, industrial power units, or agricultural machinery. Diesel Pro Power provides an extensive range of water pump and cooling system components purpose-built for the Cummins 6BT engine series.

Engine Water Pumps for Cummins 6BT

We carry OEM-quality freshwater pumps designed specifically for the Cummins B series, including 6BT configurations. These direct-fit replacements are engineered for superior reliability and flow efficiency.

Key Water Pump Features:

Corrosion-resistant cast housing
High-efficiency impeller design for optimal coolant circulation
Precision-sealed bearing systems
Matches multiple CPLs, including 1975, 2122, 8306, 2686, 2264, 1525, and more
Designed for high-load, long-duration applications

Whether you're replacing a leaking pump or upgrading an aging system, our pumps deliver the flow rates and reliability required to support the 6BT's heavy-duty operation.

Water Pump Seal Components

Avoid costly leaks and premature pump failure by replacing all seals during water pump service. Our high-durability water pan seal rings provide the necessary barrier between rotating parts and the coolant system.

Benefits:

Prevent coolant seepage
Maintain pressure in the system
Long-life rubber construction

Thermostats and Thermal Regulation for Cummins 6BT

Temperature control is essential for preventing engine wear and ensuring efficient fuel combustion. We stock both 165°F and 180°F thermostats to fit the specific thermal demands of your Cummins 6BT.

Available Options:

165°F thermostat: Suited for tropical or constant-load operation
180°F thermostat: Ideal for variable-load use or colder climates

Each thermostat is built to factory specs and undergoes quality testing to ensure proper opening temperatures and consistent regulation.

Accompanying Parts:

Thermostat housing gaskets
Thermostat rubber seals
Engine coolant filter for added system protection

These components are essential for preventing hot spots, maintaining coolant flow, and supporting top-end component longevity.

Belt Tensioners for Cooling System Drive

Tensioners help maintain proper belt tension, preventing slippage and ensuring reliable drive power to the water pump, fan, and alternator.

Tensioner Types:

Designed for both mobile and stationary Cummins 6BT applications, our belt tensioners are built for durability and vibration resistance.

Accessory Drive Belts for Water Pump and Fan Systems

We offer a complete range of multi-groove and serpentine V-belts for Cummins 6BT engines. These belts connect the water pump, alternator, and fan, ensuring synchronized component operation.

Common Sizes:

Lengths ranging from 53.50" to 69.0"
Ribbed 8-groove design for superior grip
Heat- and wear-resistant materials

These belts are ideal for industrial and marine environments where exposure to heat, oil, and vibration is common.

Silicone Coolant Hoses for Cummins 6BT

Silicone coolant hoses outperform standard rubber hoses in nearly every category. They offer superior resistance to high temperatures, chemical breakdown, and pressure deformation.

Sizes Available (Inside Diameter):

Ranging from 3/4" to 4"
Supplied in 1-foot sections for custom installations

These hoses are used throughout the engine's cooling circuit including:

Thermostat housing connections
Water pump outlet paths
Radiator feed and return lines

Hose Clamps for Coolant and Fuel Systems

Properly securing hoses is vital to maintaining coolant pressure and preventing leaks. Diesel Pro Power offers a variety of stainless steel clamps with adjustable diameter ranges.

Available Clamp Ranges:

From 9/16" to over 3.5"
Corrosion-resistant construction
Smooth band design to prevent hose damage

These clamps are ideal for both coolant and fuel line installations, ensuring vibration resistance and a leak-free seal.

Radiator Cleaner and Cooling System Maintenance Products

Cooling system performance depends on more than mechanical components. We also offer maintenance products designed to extend the life of your cooling system.

Radiator Cleaner:

Removes rust, scale, and mineral deposits
Safe for aluminum and copper radiators
Enhances coolant flow and heat exchange

Temperature Switches:

Engineered for Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Caterpillar compatibility
Activates at 205°F to trigger fans or alarms

Coolant Filtration for Cummins 6BT Engines

Coolant filters help prevent debris from damaging sensitive components like thermostats, water pumps, and radiators. Our filters are engineered for high-flow and minimal restriction.

Key Features:

Filtration media traps contaminants
Designed for continuous-duty diesel applications
Easy to replace during scheduled maintenance

Installing a coolant filter helps keep your system running clean and reduces long-term component wear.
