Turbo Mounting Gaskets and Sealing Components

A successful turbocharger installation depends on high-quality sealing materials. Diesel Pro Power supplies gaskets and compounds designed to endure the high temperatures and pressures associated with turbo operation on QSM11 engines.

Turbo Mounting Gasket

This gasket seals the interface between the turbo and the exhaust manifold or elbow. It's crucial to preventing exhaust leaks and maintaining proper boost pressure.

Key Benefits:

Made with heat-resistant materials
Designed for Cummins QSM11, M11, and ISM engine compatibility
Prevents soot buildup and performance loss

Turbo Oil Supply Gasket

Installed at the oil inlet to the turbocharger, this gasket maintains a leak-free seal to ensure consistent oil delivery to the turbo bearings.

Important Notes:

Always replace when installing a new or rebuilt turbo
Reduces the risk of oil starvation and bearing failure
Compatible with standard QSM11 turbo oil feed lines

Turbo Installation Accessories and Support Products

Proper installation and maintenance of your QSM11 turbo system require more than just the turbo itself. Diesel Pro Power offers trusted accessories to ensure the job is done right.

High-Temperature Jointing Compound

This heat-resistant jointing compound is used during turbo or exhaust installations to enhance sealing where flanged gaskets meet extreme heat and pressure. It's especially useful in marine and heavy-duty environments.

Specifications:

Rated up to 760°C
Ideal for turbo flanges, elbow connections, and wastegate interfaces
Helps prevent blowouts and exhaust leaks

Cummins AirSep System for Single Turbo QSM11 Engines

Improve your engine's intake air quality and reduce crankcase vapor discharge with this premium aftermarket AirSep system, compatible with single-turbo QSM11 engines. This system provides both filtration and noise reduction in a compact assembly.

System Highlights:

EverQuiet filter element reduces intake roar
5” throat diameter supports high-flow intake volumes
Enhances marine engine room cleanliness and regulatory compliance

Charge Air Plumbing – Aftermarket Hump Hoses

To complete the turbo setup, Diesel Pro Power offers aftermarket silicone hump hoses that connect turbochargers to charge air coolers or intake piping. These flexible hoses absorb vibration and thermal expansion while maintaining airtight airflow.

4” x 4” Hump Hose

Straight hose for standard turbo-to-intercooler connections
Built with reinforced silicone to resist oil, coolant, and heat
Durable in continuous service applications

5.5” to 5” Reducing Hump Hose

Designed for installations with mismatched pipe diameters
Smooth transition reduces turbulence and maintains airflow
Perfect for retrofit or modified setups using aftermarket turbos

Cummins QSM11 Turbo System Maintenance Guidelines

Proactive maintenance of your turbo system helps prevent costly failures and ensures long engine life. Here are some key practices to follow when servicing or upgrading your Cummins QSM11 turbocharger system:

Pre-Oiling the Turbo

Before starting the engine after a new turbo install, manually fill the turbo with oil to prevent dry startup wear.

Monitor Boost and Exhaust Temperatures

Install reliable gauges to keep track of turbo boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature (EGT). Sudden changes can indicate issues with the turbo, wastegate, or intake plumbing.

Replace Gaskets and Seals

Never reuse turbo gaskets or oil seals during a replacement. Even small leaks can result in performance loss, soot buildup, or oil starvation.

Inspect for Shaft Play

Check for axial or radial play in the turbo shaft during every major service interval. Excess movement may signal a failing bearing or unbalanced turbo assembly.
